Throwing A Non-Traditional Bridal Shower

Milena Kukurekovic

Bridal showers have evolved to become much more than simple at-home affairs. Once upon a time you could get away with finger food and presents, but times have changed and these events are becoming more and more creative. If you'll be throwing a bridal shower for a friend, here are a few fun options to keep at the tippy top of your to-do list. You and your gal pals can make a day of it and take a trip! A fun and relaxing destination with your friends is a great way to celebrate the bride's upcoming nuptials. Treat the lucky lady to a full spa experience. She'll appreciate the time to rest and will leave feeling great about herself. A "choose-a-room" format for gift buying is also an interesting way to spruce things up. Assign each guest a room of the bride-to-be and her future hubby's house for which they are to buy gifts (bedroom, dining room, etc) and have them only purchase presents that make sense for that space. This will not only help keep gifts unique but will also cut back on the stress of guests having too many choices. Whatever you choose to do, remember to always keep the leading lady in mind! If you can leave the bride feeling happy and loved, it means you've done your job.
