
Prickly Pear Margarita Recipe
Escape to a tropical destination by indulging in this Prickly Pear Margarita just in time for Cinco De Mayo! Take one sip of this margarita and you may just feel a light breeze and water tickling your toes. Then you open your eyes and see your backyard and realize that the slight breeze is coming from your dog's tail wagging and the ocean you dreamed of is your dog licking your toes. Don't get me wrong, Bailey (your dog) is great and all, but you are dreaming of a vacation. 😩 So what do you do? You close your eyes once more and learn how to make these delicious margaritas so that you do not have to leave your happy place. What you need (Serves 1):
- 2 oz prickly pear cactus syrup
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz orange juice
- lime wedges
- jalapeños (optional)
- ice
- salt for the rim
Directions: Step 1: Combine ice, prickly pear cactus syrup, tequila, and orange juice. Step 2: Shake it up! Step 3: Take a lime wedge. Cut a slit in the lime and put it on the rim of your glasses. Run the lime around the rim of the glasses until the glasses are wet. Sprinkle salt on the rim of the glass. Step 4: Pour the prickly pear margarita into your glass from the mixer. Step 5: Add a slice of lime and an umbrella. Step 6: (Optional) Like your drinks spicy? Slice a jalapeño and add it to your prickly pear margarita. Step 7: Enjoy!
