A specific, rich aroma and countless ideas created in the company of refined ingredients and a lot of time to create and try out different combinations. Gin is obtained from juniper berries.

Today it is known worldwide, and the most popular combination is with tonic. It gained great popularity in Amsterdam, and this cocktail is based on it! In addition to basic gins, premium gins are also produced, which have experienced a real boom and completely changed the image of gin as a cheap drink.

1. Soho Cocktail Recipe - New Amsterdam

The Soho is part of a collection of New York-inspired cocktails created for New Amsterdam, and it's a beautiful drink, especially for those who like to use herbs.

You will find mints, lemongrass, and ginger paired with gin botanicals in this drink. Back that up with agave nectar (recommended over the optional simple syrup here), ginger ale, and you have a fascinating highball that's perfect for spring and summer.

What will you need:

  • 2 ounces
  • New Amsterdam Gin
  • 1 a sprig of
  • Mints
  • 1 a pillar of
  • Lemongrass
  • 1/4 teaspoon of soil
  • Ginger
  • 1 ounce
  • Agave nectar or
  • Simple syrup
  • 1 ounce
  • Lime juice
  • 2 ounces
  • Ginger ale

How to do it:

  1. Cut the lemon strip into small pieces and attach a small palm full to the bottom of a cocktail shaker with the inscription. Change until the flavor is released.
  2. Add ginger, nectar, gin, and lime juice.
  3. Shake vigorously.
  4. Pour into an ice-filled glass until 3/4 full.
  5. Go all out with the ginger chicken.
  6. Decorate with a lime bed enriched with lemongrass straw.

2. Gin Fizz

What will you need:

  • gin - 65 ml, dry
  • lemon juice - 35 ml
  • sugar - 25 g

How to do it:

Mix all the ingredients in a shaker with crushed ice and strain the liquid. Serve in a cocktail glass, add soda, and drink while the bubbles still come out.

Serve with lemon or lime wedges.

3. Gin Martini

What will you need:

  • Gin - 50 ml
  • Vermouth - 10 ml, white, dry
  • Lemon peel - 2 slices
  • Olives - 2 green
  • Ice

How to do it:

In a shaker or other glass where the cocktail can be mixed, add a few ice cubes, add gin and vermouth, and shake vigorously. The finished drink is served with one slice of lemon and one green olive.

4. Gimlet Gin Cocktail

What will you need:

  • Lime syrup - 50 ml
  • London Dry gin – 50 ml
  • Slice of lime - 1 piece
  • Ice cubes

How to do it:

Chill the glasses in the refrigerator. Pour lime syrup and several ice cubes into a narrow glass. Stir until the glass is icy.

Pour the syrup with ice cubes into a chilled glass and add gin. Garnish with a slice of lime or lemon.

5. Negroni

What will you need:

  • Gin - 25 ml
  • Sweet vermouth - 25 ml
  • Campari - 25 ml
  • Ice cubes
  • Orange slice and/or berries for garnish
  • Ice

How to do it:

Add the ice cubes, gin, vermouth, and Campari to a shaker or mixing glass. Shake vigorously until the container is cool. Garnish the finished cocktail with orange and blackberry. Use a red Spanish orange in season.

Dutch gin is not transparent but golden in color, unlike English gin. This is achieved by aging spruce liqueur with grain malt in oak barrels. A characteristic feature of the Dutch style is the light caramel flavor that adds zest to various gin cocktails. However, each manufacturer uses its unique recipe to create the drink, so only a professional taster can determine the full list of components.

6. Bronx - Gin and Vermouth Cocktail

What will you need:

  •  20 ml of gin;
  • 20 ml of lemon or orange juice;
  • 10 ml of dry vermouth and Rosso vermouth.

How to do it:

All components are immersed in a shaker together with a few ice cubes. Further, the contents must be shaken for one to two minutes. Finally, it is served in tall glasses with thin legs. Depending on the required thickness, you can add pulp juice.
