If you're a recently engaged bride, you've probably been thinking a lot about who's going to stand by your side on your wedding day (besides the groom of course, hopefully you've got him secured). We love the idea of throwing a dinner party to ask your best friends to be your bridesmaids! This is just the beginning of all the wedding festivities with your bridesmaids, so why not make it a party?! We styled ours for Cinco de Mayo, and had tons of fun with vibrant pinks, oranges, and yellows in the design. Here's how to throw your own Cinco de Mayo Bridesmaid Dinner Party! Place a bamboo gift box at each place setting, with a card inside asking "will you be my bridesmaid?" Write a special message on the back to show each friend how special they are to you. Feel free to add other little goodies inside, too! Salt, limes, and tequila -- check, check, check! Wrap name tags around paper straws and attach with string to mini tequila bottles to create place cards for each friend. Our 2.6 oz. mini tasters are oh so perfect for limes and salt; add a mini tasting spoon for the salt. Margaritas are a must! Need I say more? Chiavari chairs look so cute with our spandex chair bands around them. We added flowers to the back of each band and scrunched the sides of the band to create a ruched look.
Chips and salsa...the obvious appetizer of choice for the Cinco de Mayo theme. Serve salsa in mini carafes and chips in pedestal bowls.
What other unique ideas do you have for asking your friends to be part of your special day? I'd love to hear from you!
