Top 8 Best Iced Coffee Recipes for Summer

As it gets warm outside, your heart wants a cup of iced coffee. A cup of iced coffee is the best way to kickstart your day.

Of course, you cannot go to Starbucks every single day. So we decided to tell you the best-iced coffee recipes you can make at home.

We will begin by preparing a syrup using coffee, sugar, and water and use it as a base for our recipes.

Prepare the Base

Instead of putting everything straight into a blender, prepare a concoction. It gives your iced coffee a rich flavor, making it taste like one from a fancy restaurant.

We shall share two ways to make the base for the iced coffee recipes. One is a syrup made by cooking coffee powder, sugar, and water together. The other one is the regular cold brew.

Coffee-Sugar Syrup

Ingredients:

  • Water (1 ½ cup)
  • Sugar (1 ⅔ cup)
  • Coffee powder (⅔ cup)

Procedure:

Bring water to a boil. Add coffee powder and sugar, and whisk until there are no lumps and the mixture thickens a little. That should not take more than 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and let the concoction cool down.

Cold Brew

Ingredients:

  • Coffee powder (1 cup)
  • Water (4 cups)
  • Maple syrup (4 tbsp)
  • Cloth strainer

Procedure:

In a pitcher, add coffee powder, maple syrup, and water. Leave it overnight. Strain the cold brew into another pitcher using a cloth sieve.

You can make one of the two bases and use them in the recipes. The best part about these is that you can use them for 3-4 days. After that, they will be fine in your refrigerator.

1. Go-To Morning Iced Coffee

When you are in a hurry, make a simple iced coffee using the syrup we made. It’s better to prepare the concoction the night before so you can simply add milk and ice to your coffee and enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • Coffee-sugar syrup (4 tbsp)
  • Milk (½ cup)
  • Ice cubes

Procedure:

Add everything to a glass, give them a mix, and drink! It’s that simple. You can also fill up a tumbler with this simple iced coffee and take it with you to work.

2. Caramel Macchiato

When the decadent coffee meets the luscious caramel and vanilla, it results in a rich and flavorful macchiato.

Ingredients:

  • Coffee-sugar syrup/cold brew (4 tbsp)
  • Vanilla essence (1 tsp)
  • Caramel sauce (2 tbsp)
  • Milk (¾ cup)
  • Ice cubes

Procedure:

Make caramel sauce swirls inside a glass; it will give your iced macchiato the caramel touch while making the glass look pretty. Use one tablespoon of caramel sauce to create swirls, and mix the remaining one in the drink.

Add the rest of the ingredients plus an additional tablespoon of caramel sauce, stir, and enjoy.

3. Creamy Iced Coffee

Make your ordinary morning coffee creamy and more flavorful with this recipe. The twist here is the use of ice cubes made out of coffee. The more they dissolve, the more flavorsome your iced coffee becomes.

Ingredients:

  • Coffee syrup/cold brew (2 tbsp)
  • Coffee ice cubes (5)
  • Milk (¼ cup)
  • Whipping cream (¼ cup)

Procedure:

Fill an ice cube tray with the coffee syrup or cold brew we made and freeze it overnight.

Take two tablespoons of coffee syrup or cold brew and whisk it until it turns frothy.

Put 4-5 coffee ice cubes in a glass, pour milk and cream on top, and add the whipped coffee. Stir and enjoy.

4. Ice Blended Coffee

Also known as frappuccino, this ice-blended coffee has a secret ingredient - condensed milk. It keeps the iced coffee from being too watery, giving it a rich flavor. What makes a frappuccino unique from other iced coffees is that you can drink it and eat it.

Ingredients:

  • Cold brew/coffee-sugar syrup (4 tbsp)
  • Condensed milk (4 tbsp)
  • Milk (¼ cup)
  • Fresh cream (1 tbsp)

  • Oreo biscuits (3)
  • Condensed milk (1 tbsp)
  • Chocolate syrup (2 tbsp)
